Bed & Breakfast and the Village Hall's Group Camping
Bed & Breakfast or Group Camping can be booked through Mr and Mrs Edward Jones. They offer a friendly welcome to village life and guests will be able to see their herd of dairy cows being led past the farmhouse to and from grazing pasture.
The Jones' Bed & Breakfast on their small, mixed working farm of Acton Scott is situated in a peaceful spot at the centre of the estate. Their 17th century stone farmhouse has traditional interiors, beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace.
Mr Jones also manages Acton Scott Village Hall's Camp Site, for group bookings only. It is situated in two acres of permanent pasture, populated with ancient oak and ash trees and provides views of Ragleth Hill.
The site may also be rented in conjunction with the facilities of the Village Hall and is therefore particularly suitable for groups who wish to pitch their tents - perhaps a school trip or special interest party. The Village Hall provides a fully equipped and recently refurbished kitchen and conveniences (but no showers at the present time). There is a garden with picnic benches and ample parking.
