Highlights at Acton Scott include visits to the Glebe Farm, Acton Scott Church and the forge restored by Alex and Peter, plus a tour inside the authentic Victorian cottage, reinstated during the production. There is also the opportunity to visit the Historic Working Farm attraction, located in the estate's 18th century Home Farm buildings, as featured in the series.
At Stokesay Court, Caroline Magnus tells her personal story of inheriting Stokesay by surprise, and hosting the celebrated cast and film crew of Atonement. With its interior décor unchanged from that production and a chance to see memorabilia preserved from filming, the full guided tour of includes home-made tea and cakes.
Helen Wilkinson & Maddy Hall set up P and P Tours to share their love of period filming locations with the world. Helen is well qualified in the literary and historical background to the tours while Maddy is an expert on the BBC and film productions, with invaluable inside information.
