All Day Poetry Retreat
Walk and workshop with an award-winning poet through the layers of history that overlie this ancient hall and its grounds.
Your day of exclusive access to Acton Scott Hall includes all refreshments and an exploration of the history of the house and grounds with the owners. Published poet Jean Atkin will lead a small group for approximately a mile through private gardens and along centuries-old paths into woodland and the secret garden. Before lunch she will lead a poetry workshop indoors.
After lunch in the Georgian Conservatory, the Actons will lead a short tour of the inside of this Elizabethan house, and Jean will provide further creative inspiration and writing prompts.
The afternoon will conclude with tea, cake and time to share poems created during the day. Participants at all levels are welcome.
